Nestled by more well-known eatery chains at the strip mall, I roll my eyes when noting those places constantly have lines of people out the door - most of whom know not what they're missing by passing up L&L. Hawaiian food is no rarity in St. George area, but the experience at this place differs; it's minimal yet comforting, like an adored uncle who says little but who's presence you always look forward to. I've tried at the most three dishes at L&L's, but the chicken katsu and pork dishes keep me coming back. L&Ls has become a staple when showing friends around St. George, and if it were my way, those long lines would stretch outside ITS doors.

Its pretty good. I had a cup of noodles of some kind. Cant remember. But it had an egg on top and was enjoyable. I also tried some of the chicken with the teriyaki that a friend ordered. I can see myself coming back again.

I've been to L&L locations in Long Beach, Salt Lake City, Las Vegas and Kaneohe; This store is by far the best L&L's I've had in a LOOOOOONG TIME! The musubi's were made fresh and hot as soon as you order them (Not sitting out on the counter like some of their other Hawaiian Food competitors in town). The service was friendly and I got to meet the owner that opened the first store in Honolulu, come to find out his Family is running this store (: It's nice to know the Original Family recipes will be made BY THE FAMILY (: Give them a try! You will fall in LOVE (:

Lived in Hawaii for many years so know L&Ls well. Their teriyaki chicken taste is spot on. Katsu chicken was slightly uncooked, but when it brought up to the staff, we were told others had complained the meat was overdone, so they tried to accommodate. Shrimp and musubi were authentic. But their mahi mahi is not mahi mahi (tried it on two different occasions), and that's my biggest beef. That fact was confirmed by a professional chef who I dined with. It's a lighter and flakier fleshed meat. Still tasty and good fish, but the advertised product should be served. Like the L&Ls in Hawaii, some stores were better than others, and I hope they improve so I can enjoy nostalgic "home-cooked" food here in St. George.
